One of the most extraordinary experiences was attending the Solstice Festival in Ruka. Held on top of a mountain, this three-day festival was a true celebration of summer solstice. In the winter, the mountain is a popular skiing destination, but during the solstice, the ski lifts are transformed into a gateway to one of the most unique festivals we’ve ever attended. The festival featured three different stages offering a wide variety of music, from electronic beats to live performances, all while surrounded by the stunning panoramic views of Finland’s lush landscape. The combination of great music, good vibes, and breathtaking views made it an experience that we’ll never forget.
A never ending day
Experiencing 24-hour sunlight in Finland was nothing short of mind-blowing. Imagine clear, blue skies that last all day and night. The sun never dipped below the horizon, and it was like living in a dream world where daylight never ends. It was surreal to enjoy activities—whether hiking, dining, or relaxing—under a constant, warm glow. The energy and atmosphere were incredibly uplifting, and the constant daylight gave us the feeling of having an endless day, filled with adventure and relaxation.
The finnish experience
After a long day of adventure, nothing was more relaxing than experiencing a traditional Finnish sauna, followed by a soothing dip in the Jacuzzi at our villa. The sauna, deeply embedded in Finnish culture, was the perfect way to sweat out the day’s adventures. Afterward, we cooled off in the bubbling warmth of the Jacuzzi, creating the perfect balance of heat and relaxation. It was a true Finnish experience—one that allowed us to fully embrace the traditions of the country while unwinding in comfort.
